Orders
How do I place an order?

If you wish to purchase a Common Alloy jewelry piece, select the metal color and size (if applicable) of your choice and then click ADD TO BAG. Your item will be added to your Shopping Bag, which you can view in the shopping bag icon on the top right corner of the site. Once you are ready to place your order, simply click the bag icon and click SECURE CHECKOUT to continue.

How do I check or track my order?

If you would like to check the status of your order, please click here to sign into your account to access your order history. For those who do not have an account with us, a tracking number will be provided with a confirmation shipping email once your order has been fulfilled.

Can I change or cancel an order?

If you’d like to change or cancel an order, we will try our best to help you. Email us at hello@commonalloy.com with your order number as soon as possible. Please note that after an order has been shipped, it cannot be modified or canceled. If you would still like to return the item, please kindly accept the delivery and return the jewelry.

Can I change my address after placing an order?

If you’d like to change your address after you’ve placed an order, you may do so by emailing us at hello@commonalloy.com within an hour of placing your order. While we aren’t able to guarantee the change, our team will try our best to correct the order. However once the order is shipped, we will be unable to change the address. Please email us if you have any other questions. We’re happy to help!

Out of stock products

If an item that you wish to purchase is out of stock, you will see the message “Sold Out” on the product page. We will do our best to restock sold out items as soon as possible. If you really love a product and would like to know the availability date, please email us at hello@commonalloy.com.

Do I need to create an account to shop?

You do not need to create an account with us to place an order. Once you have the jewelry items placed in your shopping, you may click on “Checkout As Guest”. Please understand that checking out as a guest means that your details will not be stored for future orders and you will not be able to see your order history. For updates on future promotions and a better shopping experience, please sign up with us today!

Why won’t my promotion code work?

Your promotion code may not be working for the following reasons:

1.     The product you wish to purchase may be excluded from the current promotion.

2.     Your promotion code has expired.

What do I do if I receive a damaged or wrong item?

Oh no! Our sincere apologies! Please email us at hello@commonalloy.com with your order number and a photo of the damaged or incorrect item, and we’ll be in touch within 24 hours. Our Common Alloy team will be happy to help you!

Do you offer gift wrapping?

All of our orders come packaged in an eco-friendly jewelry box adorned with a bow, and each jewelry piece comes with a luxurious pouch, perfect for any occasion!

Can I get a jewelry piece engraved?

Currently, we are not offering customized engraving services but are working towards offering personalized options in the future. Stay tuned!

Will I be charged sales taxes?

Sales tax will be calculated at checkout according to the state/territory of the shipping address.

Typically, sales tax displayed during checkout is estimated until the order has shipped. Sales tax may also be applied to shipping fees. Our website does participate in tax-free holidays.

How long does it take to process a refund?

Once you start the return process, refunds will take approximately one to two weeks to process after the product has been received and inspected. Depending on the credit card, it may take up to 10 business days for you to see the refund credited to your account.

What are my shipping options?

We offer FREE USPS first-class ground shipping within the U.S. Please allow 1-2 business days for us to fulfill your order and an additional 3-5 business days for ground shipping depending on your delivery address. Expedited shipping options are also available through UPS with additional cost. Prices may vary according to order volume, weight and location.

What countries do you deliver to?

At this moment, we only ship within the United States. However, we are working hard to provide international shipping in 2021! Stay tuned.

Refusal upon Delivery

If you refuse to accept your delivery, you will be charged for the return shipping fee.

Returns & Exchanges
How do I return or exchange an item?

Once you order your product, you will have 30 days to decide if you love the product. If you would like to exchange or refund an item, please do so within 30 days of the purchase date. You can initiate the return process by emailing hello@commonalloy.com with your order number, name of item to return, reason for return and contact email and phone. Common Alloy customer service will then provide instructions to complete the return.

If you’d like to exchange an item, simply return your item and order a new product. 

There is a handling fee of $7.50 USD for returns that will be deducted from your refund. If you’d like to start a return, please review the information below:

For a return to be processed, items must be unworn and in its original condition, including original tags attached, velvet pouch and packaging intact. Return of items with signs of wear or damage will not be accepted. Items must be packaged in their original Common Alloy jewelry box.

Common Alloy reserves the right to deny any return which does not meet the guidelines above. Rejected returns will be reshipped back to the customer at the customer’s expense. If you have any questions about whether a return will be accepted, you may contact us anytime at hello@commonalloy.com.

Credit for your returned item(s) will be refunded back to your account in the same form of payment used to purchase the item(s). The credit should appear on your next statement. You should receive an email confirming the completion of return processing. Refunds and price adjustments will be issued in the original tender of the purchase. 

How long will it take to process the return/refund/exchange?

Returns will take 3-10 business days to process upon reaching our warehouse. Once your return is processed and your refund is issued, you will receive a refund confirmation email. Refunds can take several business days to show on your credit card account. It will vary depending on your financial institution.

How do I return or exchange a gift?

For gifted items, you have 60 days to make an exchange or receive store credit. Please include your original gift receipt. Please note that all items must be unworn and in its original condition, including original tags attached, velvet pouch, and packaging intact. Return of items with signs of wear or damage will not be accepted. Items must be packaged in their original Common Alloy jewelry packaging.

What materials does Common Alloy use?

Common Alloy uses sterling silver, a beautiful precious metal that is known for its versatility and timelessness. Sterling silver is a name for a high-quality alloy that contains 92.5% pure silver and a small percentage of other metals to make it more durable. All Common Alloy products will have the 925 stamp trademark to ensure that it is genuine sterling silver. All of our products will be plated with either 2.5 microns of 18 karat gold for its gold vermeil products or rhodium for its silver-colored jewelry for extra protection and shine.

Common Alloy uses high quality cubic zirconia which is durable and shines just as well as, if not better than most diamonds. It is also man-made which decreases the impact on our planet.

How do I care for my jewelry?

With proper love and care, your high-quality sterling silver jewelry will last you a lifetime! We recommend that all Common Alloy products be stored in the Common Alloy jewelry pouch or a dry jewelry box. It is highly recommended for jewelry items be kept dry and away from humidity. If you live in a humid climate, place a small packet of desiccant crystals or silica packets inside the storage area. Avoid applying lotions, fragrances, sprays or any chemicals that may damage your precious silver jewelry. Ideally, store your pieces of jewelry separately so they don’t rub together or become tangled.

What if I want to get my jewelry repaired?

Common Alloy will be happy to offer repairs for our jewelry. Please email us at hello@commonalloy.com with pictures of the damaged item as well as your order number and contact information. Please note that repairs are subject to feasibility and availability. Depending on the repair needed, it may take at least 2-8 weeks. Shipping, handling and repair fees will be quoted by our customer service representative. We will get back to you as soon as possible. 

Payment
What payment methods do you accept?

Common Alloy currently accepts all major credit cards, as well as Paypal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Amazon Payment. We do not, however, accept any prepaid credit cards or gift cards at this time.

Please note that once the order has been placed, we are unable to change the method of payment.

An authorization hold in the total dollar amount of your order is placed on the payment method at the time of order placement, but you will not be charged until your order ships. If payment is not authorized or if the total dollar amount of your order exceeds your credit limit, you will receive a message on the checkout page to try another form of payment.

Prices of products listed on our website are subject to change without notice. We do our best to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions we discover. We have the right to revoke any stated offer, including after an order hasbeen submitted and your payment method charged. If your payment method has already been charged for the purchase and we elect to cancel your order, we will issue a credit to your payment account(s) in the amounts of the charge. For credit cards, individualbank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account.

What materials does Common Alloy use?

Common Alloy jewelry is nickel-free and hypoallergenic. Common Alloy uses Sterling Silver which is the standard for high-quality silver jewelry. In order to enhance durability, we plate it with Rhodium, one of the most valuable precious metals, or 18 karat gold.

We use high quality AAA cubic zirconia in all of our products for long lasting shine.

Can you guarantee your craftsmanship?

Our jewelry is crafted by fine jewelry techniques using a combination of traditional and modern sustainable methods.

Product Warranty
What is the product warranty?

We offer a 100-day warranty on all Common Alloy jewelry products. If you believe the item you received is defective, please return it to us within the 100-day warranty period. If our craftsmen determine that the item is indeed a manufacturing defect, we will be happy to send you a new product! If we determine that the damage is not a manufacturing defect, we will notify you and provide you with a quote for repair, if possible. 

Please advise that the warranty does not cover lost items, scratches or other issues that come with normal wear and tear, improper use or storage of your product or any repairs to your product by a third-party professional outside of Common Alloy. 

If you wish to repair your product after the 100-day product warranty has expired, please contact us at hello@commonalloy.com and inquire about the repair fees and if your item is applicable for repair. Please understand that all of our jewelry is handcrafted and any slight inconsistencies and variations in craftsmanship is what makes each jewelry piece unique!
